GUIDELINES FOR WRITING SELF-ASSESSMEMT REPORT OF QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, PHRANAKHON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract
This research aimed to study: 1) The effectiveness of the Self- Assessment Report 2) The factors affecting the effectiveness of the Self-Assessment Report, and 3) Guidelines for writing the effective Self-Assessment Report of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Phranakhon Rajabhat University. The research utilized the mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative. For the qualitative methodology, the tool used was the interview with 15 key informants. The obtained data was analyzed with content and triangular analysis. For the quantitative methodology, the tool used was the questionnaire asking 107 respondents from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The statistics used were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient.
Findings: The effectiveness of the Self-Assessment Report was found by average at high level (m = 4.05). (1) The Self-Assessment Report was found to cover all criteria for the educational assessment and related to four missions of the university. The report was carefully written and supported by clear evidences ready for the internal and external assessment. (2) For the factors affecting the effectiveness of the Self-Assessment Report, it was found by average at high level (m = 4.11). It was also found that the faculty members have realized the importance of quality assurance and want to see the educational quality according the standardized criteria of the university. All faculty members regularly received needed information about the quality assurance. They received training as the preparation for the writing of the Self-Assessment Report. The allotted budget for the quality assurance of the program level was adequate. The Self-Assessment Report was prepared according to the PDCA cycle as planned. (3) For the guidelines for the effective writing of Self-Assessment Report of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, it was found that the report content needs to cover all PDCA requirements. The writing pattern needs to be clear, concise and includes the comprehensive self-assessment.
