Abstract

This article aims to transfer knowledge of Methodology for Jakhay Solo of Kru Sutharn Buatang by studying from documents, textbooks, and interview with Kru Sutharn Buatang to obtain information about the methodology for solo, basic of Jakhay Instrumentation, and the transfer of Kru Sutharn Jakhay’s solo instrumentation.The study found player should have knowledge, ability and skill for Solo Instrumentation to play successfully and correctly according to Thai Musical Instrument process. Jakhay is one of most popular Thai Musical Instrument recently.


The knowledge and skill of solo instrumentation, which must be focused on the intention of studying and having the patience to practice, in order to achieve more professional skill of Jakhay Solo. The Jakhay Knowledge Transmission of Kru Sutharn Buatang is in the form of institute or Music House.The students must first become disciples. Practicing Thai music according to the traditional teachers is therefore considered as invaluable cultural heritage of Thai music and very well covered in the science and art of music.
