Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to determine the effectiveness of lesson plans on English listening comprehension, study students' English listening comprehension abilities, and examine students' satisfaction with English listening comprehension practice. The target group consisted of 19 fourth-grade students at Thairath Wittaya 93 School (Ban Lad Takhian) enrolled in the Basic English course (E13101) in the second semester of the 2023 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included lesson plans for English listening comprehension, an English listening comprehension skills test, and a student satisfaction questionnaire on English listening comprehension practice. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings showed that the English listening comprehension lesson plans had an efficiency value of 81.32/82.80 which was higher than the set criteria of 80/80, students' listening comprehension test results were at a very good level (82.80%), and their satisfaction with English listening comprehension practice was at the highest level (mean of 4.71).
