Development of Adjustable roof structure

Abstract

The objective of this researce is 1) to design the adjustable roof structure; and, 2) to study the settlement of the adjustable roof structure. In this research, the design and construction of adjustable roof structure and determine the subsidence of 5 sample building in Nong Chok area Bangkok. Population and sample groups to evaluate the effectiveness were 3 experts with controlled vocational certificates and architects with specific vocational certificates. Settlement data was collected every 15 days over a period of 4 months. The statistics used for data analysis were the Consistency Index (IOC), Average (X) and Standard – Deviation (S.D). The results of the research showed that the experts agreed that the adjustable roof
structure design was effective, consistent, and suitable according to engineering principles, with a corresponding index of 0.66-1.00. The test results for the roof, roof collapsing average
of 8 times of data were obtained for settlement. The maximum amount was 0.5 millimeters. The total settlement value throughout the test period was 4.00 mm. The average total
settlement value of all houses was 039 mm and the standard deviation of 0.02.
