The Development of Learning Management Competency for Student Teachers of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi

Abstract

          The purposes of this study were to: 1) study the learning management competency for student teachers. 2) study the satisfaction towards learning management competency for student teachers. The samples were consisted of the 4th year of student teachers who enrolled in the course 02143401: Practicum 1 and 02143402: Practicum 2 in Semester 1 and 2 of the academic year 2018. The 13 samples were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments were learning management assessment form and satisfaction questionnaire of students towards competency development in learning management. Data were analyzed by calculating statistics, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

     The research found that:

     1) Students had learning management competency overall at the high level ( = 4.43). The highest score was “behavior” which in the level of very high ( = 4.71), followed by the attitude towards teacher profession ( = 4.65), third was the personality ( = 4.52). While the learning management results ( = 4.28), learning management plan  ( = 4.21), and learning management ( = 4.19) found lower score than other aspects. 

          2) Students’ satisfaction towards learning management competency overall was at the high level ( = 4.44), but assessment scores were not much different. For the students have developed teaching methods and various teaching techniques issues in the same time they cultivated a good attitude towards the teaching profession. Moreover, they have developed more professional competencies for applying their knowledge from theory to practice. Finally, they can use several types of challenge learning media and stimulate enthusiasm learners as well as working creatively with others.
