Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study the significance level of factors supporting the academic skills competition, 2) examine the importance level of success in the academic skills competition, and 3) investigate factors affecting success in the academic skills competition at the National Local Education Fair for the 2024 academic year in the Career Education Division. The sample group, selected through purposive sampling, consisted of 284 students from the Career Education Division who participated in the competition. A questionnaire was used as research instrument, and the data were analyzed using statistical methods, including mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that: 1) The overall significance level of factors supporting the academic skills competition was at a high level. When analyzed by specific factors, the highest mean score was for "practice time", followed by "students", and the lowest was "parents". 2) The overall level of success in the competition was high. The highest mean score was for "future advancement", followed by "educational opportunities", and the lowest was "money as a prize". Lastly, 3) Supporting factors: support from the school administrators, experts, supporting stuffs or budget allocation, competition organization, and practice time significantly influenced the success of the academic skills competition at a statistical significance level of 0.01.
