มุมมองทางสังคมวิทยา: การเหยียดอายุต่อผู้ป่วยสูงวัยในระบบสาธารณสุขที่สะท้อนผ่านสื่อภาพยนตร์และซีรีส์เกาหลี

งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการเหยียดอายุต่อผู้ป่วยสูงวัยในระบบสาธารณสุขที่สะท้อนผ่านตัวบทในสื่อภาพยนตร์และซีรีส์เกาหลีด้วยการมองสื่อผ่านมุมมองทางสังคมวิทยา เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์ตัวบทของภาพยนตร์และซีรีส์เกาหลีที่เผยแพร่ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2556 ถึง พ.ศ. 2568 จำนวน 14 เรื่อง
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ตัวบทของสื่อภาพยนตร์และซีรีส์เกาหลีสื่อสารเรื่องการเหยียดอายุต่อผู้ป่วยสูงวัยในระบบสาธารณสุข จัดกลุ่มได้ 4 มิติ ดังนี้ มิติที่ 1 ภาพลักษณ์เชิงลบนำไปสู่การซึมซัมภาพลักษณ์เชิงลบของการใช้บริการสาธารณสุขของผู้สูงวัย มิติที่ 2 สังคมอุตสาหกรรมนำไปสู่แนวคิดผู้ป่วยสูงวัยคือภาระทางเศรษฐกิจ มิติที่ 3 ชนชั้นสูงกับผู้ป่วยสูงวัยที่เป็นชนชั้นล่างนำไปสู่แนวคิดการเหยียดอายุของผู้ถูกกดขี่ มิติที่ 4 โครงสร้างสังคมของผู้ป่วยสูงวัย อันเต็มไปด้วยผู้กระทำการและผู้ถูกกระทำ งานวิจัยนี้ได้ข้อค้นพบที่สำคัญ คือ การยอมรับในอำนาจที่มากระทำต่อระบบสาธารณสุข แนวคิดของนักสังคมวิทยาเผยให้เห็นเหตุปัจจัยก่อนที่จะเกิดอำนาจ ส่งผลให้เกิดการเหยียดอายุที่สะท้อนอยู่ในตัวบทของภาพยนตร์และซีรีส์เกาหลีได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง ข้อมูลวิจัยทั้งหมดจะช่วยกระตุ้นเตือนให้สังคมสูงวัยพัฒนาโปรแกรมและนโยบายที่มุ่งลดการเหยียดอายุในระบบสาธารณสุขเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีให้ผู้ป่วยสูงวัย
