Learning Management by Applying Learning Theory on Behaviorism for Bachelor Degree Students of Primary Education

Abstract

Learning management is a process to manage situation for learners to obtain knowledge and experience relying on association between the teacher and learner to generate development to learners in every aspect. To conduct the learning management, teachers need to clearly study the principles, notions, and theories on learning for being much more capable to sufficiently handle and tackle learning management in learner development.

        This article has an objective to study learning management by applying learning theory on behaviorism for bachelor degree students of primary education, using Thorndike’s connectionism as the guidance, namely 1) checking and providing readiness for learners, , laying out conditions, encouraging by providing motivation, creating learning conductive atmosphere and reviewing prior knowledge management; 2) having learners to often practice crucial and necessary skills to maintain and sustain the knowledge gained; 3) providing opportunity for learners to often use the knowledge in various situations; and 4) after all learners having obtained knowledge as targeted, teachers should admire or award which could enhance more learning motivation.  The mentioned activities were conducted to promote learning behaviors for the students of primary education to be more professional and ingrained with sustained knowledge and ethnics.
