Aims and Scope |

Journal of MCU Philosophy Review (JMPR) ISSN: 3027-7388 (Online) is academic journal of Graduate School, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The journal objectives are committed to the publication of research and academic article in the areas of philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and aesthetics or applied philosophy being integrated with other science, philosophy of education, philosophy of religion, and social and political philosophy, for instance. All papers are necessarily concerned with pure philosophy, applied philosophy and philosophical research. A writer who is going to submit the paper needs to identify his/her manuscript to align with the given groups of philosophy as follows: First Group: Pure philosophy means an analysis of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and aesthetics. 1.1 Metaphysics means an analysis of metaphysical concepts from both Western and Eastern philosophy referring to the ultimate reality, its existence and various phenomena. 1.2 Epistemology means an analysis of epistemological concepts from both Western and Eastern epistemology concerning with knowledge and its proofs of knowledge. 1.3 Ethics means an analysis of the ethical concepts from both Western and Eastern ethics concerning with good, bad, right and wrong, ethical problems, surrogacy, mercy killing, abortion, human behaviour, for instance. 1.4 Aesthetics means an analysis of the concepts of beauty in art, aesthetics, aesthetical taste, good and bad art including philosophy of art. Second Group: Applied philosophy refers to the application of the principles of philosophy and religion to the interpretation of meanings and thereby proposing alternative guidelines to solve the problems appearing in the society as follows: 2.1 Philosophy of education means an analysis of the educational principle and its approach through philosophical theory, the development of active learning in accordance with Pragmatism, learning of philosophy in social multicultural pluralism, for instance. 2.2 Philosophy of religion means an analysis and interpretation of religious problems through philosophical theory, proofs of the existence of God, solutions of the problem of surrogacy by means of philosophy of religion, for instance. 2.3 Social and Political philosophy means an analysis and interpretation of social and political problems through philosophical theory, problem of poverty, of disadvantage, of child and youth, of environment, for instance. |

Types of Articles |
|
Both research and academic paper will be published by Journal of MCU Philosophy Review. Research Article What is the research article? It basically means the paper gained from research work which embodies the concept and philosophical analysis in the areas of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics or applied philosophy being integrated with other disciplines, philosophy of education, philosophy of religion, social and political philosophy, for instance. All papers are required to concern with pure philosophy, applied philosophy or philosophical research. With respect to these, its content needs the clarity, conciseness, originality, good structure including the discussion of such research where the explained words must not averagely exceed 8,000 in total. Academic Article What is the academic article? It basically means the paper made to present the concept and analysis of the content by which the interpretation of it is done through philosophical theory referring to the principles proposed by related considerable scholars and is compatible with the academic principles correspondingly. In this, the explained words must not averagely exceed 8,000 in total. |

Language accepted for publication |
|
This Journal of MCU Philosophy Review will be published by both Thai and English languages. This means that the paper written by Thai language must incorporate the abstract written in English language (see details in the part of suggestions for a writer). The submitted paper must be subject to the examination in order to be standardized in accordance with the written language. |

-4,000 Baht is required for the academic paper. -4,500 Baht is required for the research paper. |

This Journal of MCU Philosophy Review belongs to Graduate School, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University where its standard will be actively managed in order to get all submitted papers published through the strict processes of peer review by related considerable experts. |

Peer Review Process |
|
This Journal of MCU Philosophy Review is committed to Peer Review Process. So, before publication, the submitted paper needs to be reviewed by 3 (triple-blind peer review) related considerable experts and it must also be approved by Editorial board accordingly. In the peer review process, the blind peer review is used and the article owner’s name is anonymized and the anonymity of peer reviewers will not be known to a paper-writer too. This will be made through the Double blind peer-reviewed process. In addition, the condition in examining and selecting the paper will be seriously taken by the journal in accordance with the academic standard. |
