An Approach of God in Sankara and Spinoza

Abstract
This article has objective to show the concepts of God in Sankara and Spinoza. This article employed the documentary research methodology. In the research, it was found that in the same way, they talked that God is monism. It differently named Atman as an individual's inner self, but Spinoza called an objective being. In Sangara thought, it’s possible to know the Brahman with intuition. Spinoza talked that with the God will we get the Spirit of power, and that is important in order to be able to contain in the God. In Ethical approach, they didn’t agree the moral judgments of human intelligence because souls are in bondage because they have an incorrect understanding of the nature of God, due to ignorance (avidya). So, everything made by humans didn’t make them liberation and salvation. In the end, there is God made it.
