A Concept of Distributive Equality in Social Philosophy of Karl Marx

Abstract

In this paper entitled ‘A concept of distributive equality in social philosophy of Karl Marx’, an attempt was purposely made to critically analyze and examine the concept of distributive equality of Karl Marx’s philosophy. In distributing resources, Liberalism firmly holds that the good distribution of resources where the equality is upheld is to utilize the criteria of rights and capacity, otherwise it would violate the one who has the right and capacity to those resources. However, Socialism strongly objects to the Liberalist concept of distribution as such because it somehow precipitates the social inequality and conflict. In order to solve these problems, it is proposed by Socialism that while distributing resources the necessity of those who are in need of resources should be taken into account. It is argued against Socialist distributive concept by this paper because: 1) it could not meet with the universal will, 2) it could not satisfy the unlimited desire of man in the proper manner, and 3) it could not be practically and successfully implemented because a society is bereft of sufficient knowledge on the processes of distribution of resources due to lacking educational relevance.
