Efficiency Management of WatThasung Muang District, Uthai Thani Province

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were to 1) to study the level of opinions of the meditation practitioners on the efficiency of the management of Thasung Temple, Muang District, Uthai Thani Province 2) to compare the opinions of the meditation practitioners on the efficiency of the management of Thasung Temple, Muang District, Uthai Thani Classified by personal status 3) To study the problems, threats and suggestions received from the meditation practitioners regarding the efficiency of the management of Thasung Temple, Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province. Using Mixed Methods Research by consisting quantitative and qualitative research.  For quantitative research, a survey research was conducted. Data were collected by questionnaires from a sample group of people who practice Dharma in Thasung Temple, Muang District, Uthai Thani Province. The statistics used were frequency, Percentage, mean, standard deviation and using reference statistics to test the research hypothesis was t-test and F-test for one-way ANOVA analysis and comparing the average difference in pairs by means of Least Significant Difference (LSD) with statistical significance at level 0.05. For qualitative research collected data from in-depth interview with 9 key informants and data analysis with  descriptive content analysis techniques.

The findings of this study were as follows:

1. The opinions of the meditation practitioners on the management efficiency of Thasung Temple, Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province The overall view was at the highest level with an average value of 4.53. when considered in each aspect such as  planning  organization , staffing, directing and controlling  found that the controlling and planning at the highest level as for the organization, personnel management and directing at a high level.


2. The comparison of the opinions of the meditation practitioners on the management efficiency of Thasung Temple Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province classified by personal status, it was found that the meditation practitioners had different sex, age, opinions, not different. Therefore rejecting the hypothesis. As for the meditation practitioners with different educational backgrounds, occupations, and experience on temples, there were different opinions. Therefore accepted the hypothesis.


3. Problems, threats and suggestions from the meditation practitioners regarding the efficiency of the management of Thasung Temple, Muang District, Uthai Thani Province found that the temple was very large which causing insufficient personnel to work, therefore, should be announced in advance for the volunteer, In order to have more assistants and communication was not clear, should use communication both in verbal order form, order in writing and the use of the line system for ordering.
