The Participation of the People in Crime Prevention at Ongkharak Police Station Area, Ongkharak, Nakhon Nayok

Abstract

Objectives of this research were 1. to study the participation of the people in Crime Prevention at Ongkharak Police Station Area, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok and 2. to comparative the participation of the people in Crime Prevention at Ongkharak Police Station Area, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok classified by personal factors. A sample was selected from the number of 400 people in Ongkharak District, Nakhon Nayok. A sample was selected from 56,111 people in Ongkharak District, Nakhon Nayok.The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Comparison of mean values for 2 samples (t-test independent), one-way ANOVA, data analysis using social science software packages.

The results of this study as follows:

1. Most of the participation of the people in Crime Prevention at Ongkharak Police Station Area, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok was at a high level (= 3.59, S.D. = 0.60). When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value of the top 3 was finding the ways of the prevention crime at a high level (= 4.00, S.D. = 0.65). The second was the communication with the police at a high level ( = 3.43, S.D. = 0.80). The third was crime prevention at a medium level ( = 3.33, S.D. = 0.73).


2. Comparative of the level participation of the people in Crime Prevention at Ongkharak Police Station Area, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok classified by personal factors, it was found that people with different, age, education level, occupation, average monthly income have different level participation of the people in Crime Prevention at statistical significance level of .01. With different sex and status, it was not different in the level participation of the people in crime prevention.
