The Image of the Police Officers in Ongkharak Police Station, Ongkharak District, Nakhon Nayok.

Abstract

Objectives of this research were 1) to study the image of the police officers in Ongkharak Police Station, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok Province and 2) to study factors that were related to the image of the police officers in Ongkharak Police Station, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok Province. A sample was selected from the number of 400 people in Ongkharak District, Nakhon Nayok Province. The research instruments were a questionnaire of 4 aspects which were personality, ethics, discipline, and community relation by finding the frequency and percentage, finding the mean and standard deviation, Analyzed by t-test independent and One-way ANOVA.

The results of this study as follows:                                              

1. Most of the image of the police officers in Ongkharak Police Station was at a high level (= 3.76, S.D. = 0.55). When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value of the top 4 was personality (= 4.0, S.D. = 0.60). The second was discipline ( = 3.95, S.D. = 0.68). The third was ethics ( = 3.81, S.D. = 0.69). The fourth was community relation at a low level ( = 3.28, S.D. = 0.64).


2.  Comparisons of Opinions of the image of the police officers in Ongkharak Police Station, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok Province classified by personal factors found that the perspective is not different. When classified by education level, average monthly income found that significantly differently at .01. And classified by age and status found that the perspective is not different.
