Protecting yourself from being a crime victim in the area of Lumpini Subdistrict, Pathumwan District, Bangkok

Abstract
The purpose of this research were 1. to study the ways to prevent yourself from a crime victim of population in Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok and 2. to compare crime prevention’s behavior among population in Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok that classified by personal factors. The sample groups consisted of 400 from 16,273 people in Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok. The research instrument consisted of 3 questionnaires: self-defense, community protection and online media protection. Data analyzed by finding frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test independent and one-way ANOVA analysis. The result found that 1. the results of analysis about self-protection from being a crime victim of population in Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok were in the highest level and when considering each aspect found that top three highest mean values are community self-protection and online media protection respectively. And 2. The result of comparison about self-protection from being a crime victims of population in Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok, classified by age, education level, occupation, and average monthly income showed that the overall difference with statistical significance at the level of .05 classified by gender found that the overall is not different.
