Participation of Citizen in the Prevention of Crime in Bang O Area, Bangkok

Abstract
The purpose of this research were 1. to study the level of participation of citizen in the prevention of crime in Bang O area Bangkok and 2. to compare the levels of participation of citizen in the prevention of crime in Bangor area Bangkok which was classified by personal factors. This research uses quantitative research regulations. The sample consisted of 400 people who live in Bang O area Bangkok. The data were collected by questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were the mean, standard deviation, significant test of arithmetic means or t-test and F–test, one-way analysis of variance and subsequent test by using LSD method. The results of research were as follows People in Bang O area Bangkok participated in the prevention of crime at a medium level in overall. Comparison of participation of the citizen in the prevention of crime in Bang O area Bangkok, which was classified personal factors, it was found that people with different gender, there was no significant difference at the statistical level of 0.05, while the people who have the differences of ages and careers were different. The level of participation in the prevention of crime was significantly different at the level of 0.05.
