Factors Affecting that Impact on Soft Skills Development of Thai Youth in 21st Century

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of Thai youths soft Skills. 2) to study the causal factors Influencing for soft Skills development of Thai Youth in 21^st Century and 3) to study problems and obstacles for soft Skills development of Thai Youth in 21^st Century. The research was mixed methods research both of quantitative research that used questionnaire to survey 358 samplings with data analysis from statistical package for the social science for Windows and qualitative research was used in-depth interview technique with semi -structured from 9 key informants. The results of this research were as following; 1) The level of Thai youth‘s soft Skills found that the samplings were male 219 persons that as 61.2% and female 139 persons that as 38.8%, Education level of samplings were 341 Freshman as 67.3 % , 77 Sophomore as 21.5 % and 40 Junior as 11.2 %. The level of Thai youth’s soft Skills in overall had average in high levels when considered as aspect found that critical thinking had the most average in high levels next creative skill had average in high levels and communication / living with others had the less average in high levels. 2) The causal factors Influencing for soft Skills development of Thai Youth in 21^st Century found that four factors as physical, emotion, wisdom and mind management should be understanding in the truth for build all Skills that made them to practice art of living with others. And 3) Problems and obstacles for soft Skills development of Thai Youth in 21^st Century found that knowledge transferred /developed of instructors and youth did not give value of  soft Skills development then they would lacked for improve all soft Skills.
