Guidelines for Developing Entrepreneurial Leadership of School Administrators According to Teachers’ perspective under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 15

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the level, compare and study the guidelines for developing entrepreneurial leadership of the school administrators according to the teachers’ perspective under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 15. This study was a mixed methods research between quantitative and qualitative research. In collecting quantitative data, the samples were 318 teachers by using questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-Test, and F-Test. For qualitative data collection, 9 key informants were collected by semi-structured interview and analyzed by inductive data. The results of the research revealed that 1) entrepreneurial leadership of the school administrators according to the teacher's perspective was at high; 2) entrepreneurial leadership of school administrators according to the viewpoints of teachers with different educational qualifications, in overall and each aspect was not different. Entrepreneurial leadership of school administrators according to the viewpoints of teachers with different working experiences, overall and in each aspect was not different. Entrepreneurial leadership of school administrators according to the perspective of teachers working in schools with different sizes, in overall, was significantly different at the .01 level; and 3) in the aspect of  guidelines for developing entrepreneurial leadership of school administrators, It can be summarized as follows: 3.1) administrators should develop their experience and knowledge about entrepreneurship, create cooperation from various sectors and take into account the location in setting the vision; 3.2) administrators should listen to opinions from many parties, analyze and decision making; 3.3) administrators should continually learn and create a participatory process to foster creative thinking; 3.4) administrators should synthesize the context of the school's location and allow students to explode their ideas to innovate; and 3.5) administrators should be more proactive by learning from existing problems and being open-minded to real-world learning as well as create a network in the business.
