Abstract

The objective of this research article was to study learning activities in general education of Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, academic year 2018-2020. Data were collected from documents about the curriculum and teaching and grades in general education subjects, participatory observation as a teacher and full-time teacher, non-participatory observation, unstructured conversation and structured interviews. The interviewees were divided into 9 administrators, 20 teachers, and 64 student focus group discussions. The research was carried out by analyzing content characteristics and organizing the data according to the research objectives. The research results showed that there were 2 types of important learning activities: 1) active learning emphasized the role of the learner and teachers had roles as supporters; 2) integrated learning was divided into 3 types, namely, integration with the student's curriculum, integration with student lifestyles and integration with social roles. However, some teachers and students were satisfied with the lecture style. This was the university's mission to continue to seek ways to develop learning activities.
