Patirupadesa to Promote Dhamma Practice in Buddhism

Abstract

The purpose of this academic article was to study the principle of Patirupadesa that appeared in the Theravada Buddhist scriptures, which contained the content discussing the meaning of Patirupadesa. Patirupadesavasa that appeared in Tipitaka, Characteristics and elements of being in Patirupadesa, the importance of staying in Patirupadesa, living in Patirupadesa in Theravada Buddhist scriptures. Patirupadesa principle that promoted Dhamma practice, that was to be born as a human being with a perfect self, and the next point was to live in an appropriate place outside which had the following characteristics of promoting Dhamma practice as follows 1) having a cultural center based on Sangahavattu 4, 2) having a good education system, 3) having an honest and stable career based on Gharavasadhamma 4, 4) having a religion that preached the truth, and 5 ) there were moral, righteous, knowledgeable people. If you were not born in Patirupadesa, you would not be able to receive an education, poor living conditions and practicing Dhamma was slow.
