Development of Interactive Book Media to Promote Learning in Dance on standard Ramwong Mattathan

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were 1) to develop and find the efficiency of an interactive book media on Standard Thai Dance; 2) to compare the learning achievement before and after the application of the interactive book media; and 3) to study the satisfaction of students. The sample group used in this research was 24 Mathayom Suksa 1 students of Debsirin Romklao school. The cluster sampling method was used, which had similar characteristics within the sample group. The sampling unit was a classroom. The research design was a single group pre-test and post-test. The instruments used were interactive book media, media quality assessment form, satisfaction assessment form, pre-test, and post-test. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and index of consistency. The research results found that 1) the development of the interactive book media on Standard Thai Dance, which contained important contents including history, performance format, costumes, musical instruments, lyrics, and dance moves. From the consideration of the consistency value of experts, it was found that the consistency was at the highest level and the media was effective according to the criteria of 86.90/90.85; 3) the results of the comparison of learning achievements using the interactive book media, the pre-test had an average score of 14.58 and a standard deviation of 2.98. The post-test had a higher average score of 18.17 and a standard deviation of 2.41. The results of the analysis of the post-test achievements were significantly higher than the pre-test at a statistical level of .05, and 4) the results of the evaluation of satisfaction with the media had an average of 4.93 and a standard deviation of 0.46, which was at the highest level.
