Abstract

This academic article aims to study good practices from the TCI Journal Assessor's Comment by analyzing only research articles to identify problematic issues and guidelines for improving the quality of research articles to be in line with the standards of academic journals. The results of the study found that the most significant flaw was the discussion of research results that was mostly repetitive and lacked connections to related theories. The research objectives were unclear and too broad. The description of the research method was incomplete, including the specification of sample groups and the use of research instruments that lacked detail. In addition, problems were found in writing abstracts that were inconsistent with the actual content, using lengthy, unconcise language, and using repeated, non-diverse references. Recommendations for improvement included: the discussion of results should be improved by emphasizing interpretations that were consistent with the theory. The objectives should be presented clearly and specifically. The research method should be explained in detail, including details of the sample groups. In terms of using quality research tools, the abstract should be consistent with the content and complete according to the objectives. While the language used should be concise, to the point and formal, and should include comprehensive and up-to-date references. Meanwhile, good practices in writing articles started with an abstract that was consistent with the content, clearly stating the objectives, research methods and research results. The introduction should link the research problem to up-to-date data and relevant theories. The research objectives should be clear and not too broad. The research methodology should fully explain the sample group, instruments and data analysis. The research results should be presented clearly, using tables or charts to make them easy to understand. The discussion of the results should link the theory and provide clear guidelines. New knowledge should be communicated concisely and easily understood. Specific and practical suggestions should be made. References should be up-to-date and diverse.
