Development of an Integrated Learning Management Model Using a walking Map on the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community for Prathomsuksa 4 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research article were 1) to develop an integrated learning management model using a walking map on the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community; and 2) to develop communication skills of Prathomsuksa 4 students through integrated learning management with a walking map on the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community. The sample group consisted of 70 Prathomsuksa 4 students studying in the second semester of the 2023 academic year at Ban Chalong School. The volunteer selection method was used. The research instruments were a learning management model quality assessment form and a communication skills assessment form. Data were analyzed using percentages, mean, and standard deviations. The research results found that 1) the integrated learning management model using a walking map on the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community of Prathomsuksa 4 students consisted of 5 learning management plans, namely, Topic 1: Getting to Know Maps, Topic 2: Walking Maps, Topic 3: Preparation before Going to the Community, Topic 4: Walking Map Visiting Chalong area, and Topic 5: the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community. The overall evaluation results were at a very good level ( = 4.56, S.D. = 0.76); and 2) in terms of the analysis of communication skills of the integrated learning management model using a walking map on the Narratives of Ban Chalong Community, when considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect of learning resource sequence had the highest mean value (μ = 2.40, σ = 0.60), and most students had good skills (34 students, accounting for 48.57 percent). The second highest mean value was the aspect of connection with walking map (μ = 2.31, σ = 0.67), with most students having good skills (32 students, accounting for 45.71 percent). The aspect with the lowest mean value was creative thinking (μ = 2.06, σ = 0.72), Most students had good skills, 34 people, or 48.57 percent.
