Leadership Development of the Mayors According to Good Governance in Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

This article is a part of the research named Leadership Development of the Mayors According to Good Governance in Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The article focuses on leadership development of the mayors according to good governance and the comparison of people’s opinion on leadership development of the mayors according to good governance principles. The results revealed that; 1. Leadership Development of the Mayors According to Good Governance in Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, as a whole, was in a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found in a high level, Rule of Laws was in the highest level, followed by Morality, Accountability and Participation respectively. 2. the comparison of people’s opinion on leadership development of the mayors according to good governance in Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province as classified by personal factors consisting of sex, age and education that was found gender affected leadership development of the mayors according to good governance in Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province with the statistical significance at the 0.05 level and age and education were not affected. Therefore, leadership development in organizational management has resulted in the success and failure of the organization. And from the regulation on the establishment of good governance and social affairs, resulting in education and training with a focus on developing leaders with good leadership, morality, knowledge and ability, initiative, a good attitude, Honesty, discipline, being respect by most people, sacrifice for the public, having the patience to hear the opinions of other people, giving an opportunity for other people to get involved in administration and being in transparent administration and democracy.
