PROMOTION OF DHAMMA PRACTICE PROCESS FOR TOURISTS BY THE FOREST MONKS IN THE NORTHEAST

Abstract
The objectives of this research included: 1) To study the factors that created motivation in Dhamma practice for tourists of forest monks in the northeastern region; and 2) To study and analyze the results of the process of promoting Dhamma practices for tourists of forest monks in the northeastern region. The qualitative research methodology was used by conducting in-depth interview with interview forms from the 30 informants including related persons in forest temples tourist attractions and tourists. Questionnaires were also used with 252 samples of tourists. The results of the quantitative study were analyzed. The results of his research were as follows: The factors that created motivation in practicing Dhamma for tourists of forest monks in the northeastern region depended on gender, age, status, education, occupation, income, as well as the behavior of the tourists that participated in practicing Dharma in the forest temples. It was also found that basic facilities, accesses of the tourist attractions, public relations and the environment were all the factors affecting, motivating and attracting the tourists of forest monks in the northeastern region. The results of the interview were found that primary approach for the promotion was that the forest monks had developed the temple to be clean, shady, and suitable for visiting, studying and practicing Dhamma. It could be a place to accommodate many tourists to relax and appreciate the nature that was considered the strengths of tourism. This also covered the accessibility and the well-preparedness of the tourist attraction. As a result, the well-preparedness of facilities, creditability and a good public relation would lead to the access of Dhamma practice of the tourists. This would promote the sustainable tourism process of the forest monks
