A STUDY ON THE FACTORS INFLUENCING USER STICKINESS AND CONSUMPTION IN ONLINE GAMES BASED ON ROOTED THEORY:-----A CASE STUDY OF LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

Online games, as a highly anticipated hot topic, have received extensive research from many senior scholars. This study is based on grounded theory and takes League of Legends as a case study to construct a stickiness consumption model for online games, as well as the key attributes exhibited by respondents in personal interviews. It summarizes six factors that affect game user stickiness and consumption, including experiential needs, emotional changes, product quality, social factors, result feedback, and promotional factors. By exploring the factors influencing the stickiness and consumption of online game users, and based on the two attributes of consumption and stickiness, the entire group of online game users is divided into three types: high-end players, ordinary players, and tourists. This study aims to provide feasible suggestions for game developers in China and help them gain a deeper understanding of players.
