THAI–STYLE LEADER CHARACTERISTICS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS IN UDON THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study Thai-style characteristics of school administrators under Provincial Administrative Organizations in Udon Thani Province and 2) compare Thai – style characteristics of school administrators under Provincial Administrative Organizations in Udon Thani Province, classified by age, position and work experience. The sample used in this research were 306 administrators and teachers from stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The research instruments were a 5-level-rating scales questionnaire on Thai – style characteristics of school administrators with 0.977 reliability. The data were analyzed by frequency, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one – way ANOVA and Schffe’s method of multiple comparison.The results of this research revealed; 1) Thai-style characteristics of school administrators under Provincial Administrative Organizations in Udon Thani Province was at a high level in overall and each aspect. 2) Thai-style characteristics of school administrators under Provincial Administrative Organizations in Udon Thani Province when classified by age and work experience were statistically significant different at the .01 level, the segments classified by position found no different.
