AN APPLICATION OF THE FIVE PRECEPTS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF ALCOHOLIC DRINKING OF KUT SUEM COMMUNITY, NON THONG SUBDISTRICT, NA YUNG DISTRICT

Abstract

The purposes of this research entitled “An application of the five precepts for solving the problems of alcoholic drinking of Kut Suem Community, Non Thong Subdistrict, Nayung District, Udon Thani Province were;  to study the application of five precepts for solving the problems of alcoholic drinking in Kut Suem Subdistrict, Na Yung District, Udon Thani Province. This research is the qualitative research by collecting the documentative data and interviews with key informants and then the data are analyzed by descriptive analysis for “the application of the five precepts for solving the problems of alcoholic drinking of the Kut Suem Subdistrict, Na Yung District, Udon Thani Province.”

The application of the five precepts for solving the problems of alcoholic drinking of Kut Suem Subdistrict, Na Yung District, Udon Thani Province. The importance is given in preserving the five precepts, especially, the fifth precept, that is, to abstain the alcoholic drinking and the intoxicated things, it will make oneself, family and the community understand the alcoholic evil and create the mindfulness and awareness. One is able to solve the occurrent problems in life in the right way by applying the principle of the five precepts in solving the problems of alcoholic drinking of Kut Suem community in order to create the loving kindness and compassion and good wishes for each other, earning life in the right way, abstaining the sexual intercourse, using the real words, having the mindfulness and awareness physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in order to make the relationship of individuals, family, community, and to earn living in society by encouraging those to be good persons and to practice by oneself and around people with goodness.
