THE STUDY OF THE CURRENT SITUATION, PRODLEMS, AND DEVELOPING GUIDELINES OF IMPLEMENTING THE HEALTH PROMOTIMG SCHOOLS AT DIAMOND LEVEL UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE OF SI SA KET AND YASOTHON

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study 1) the current situation of the implementation of the health promoting schools at the diamond level under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office of Si Sa Ket and Yasothon, 2) the problems of implementation of the Health Promoting Schools at the Diamond Level and developing guidelines of the Health Promoting Schools at the Diamond Level. The sample of this research included school administrators and school health teachers numbering 28 persons and 8 key informants. The research tools were a rating-scale survey and interviews under the 3-dimensional standards and 19 key performance indicators. The results found that: 1) the current situation of implementing the health promoting schools at the diamond level was high level in terms of the overview and specific aspects; 2) the problems of implementing the health promoting schools at diamond level was low level in terms of the overview and specific aspects; and 3) the developing guidelines for implementing the health promoting schools at the diamond level were certified as accomplished. In terms of health supporting operations of the student leaders, there were outstanding student health supporting projects that had been successfully implemented, allowing students to take part in the projects to solve health problems in the schools. Regarding the accomplishments, the operations had the clear goals. There were committees to manage and there were problem-solving, good health promotion, and school environmental improvement. In the overview, the implementation was appropriate and had a high level feasibility. When considering each item, each item was appropriate and had the high feasibility level. Similarly, in terms of stakeholders, each item was appropriate, and the feasibility was at a high level.
