GUIDELINES FOR THE STUDENT SUPPORT SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA BASED ON CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 PANDEMIC (COVID-19) IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE SURIN SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE OFFICE

Abstract
This purpose of this research were 1) to identify the elements of the school’s student support system (SSSS) in the COVID - 19 epidemic crisis under Surin Secondary Educational Service Area office (SSESAO) 2) to study the current condition and problems of the SSSS in the COVID-19 epidemic crisis under the SSESAO 3) to find out guidelines for the SSSS development in the new normal under the SSESAO The sampling groups, selected by means of a proportional stratified random sampling, the Krejcie and Morgan random sampling techniques, ,comprised of school administrators and teachers. The informants were 339 school administrators and teachers. The research instruments used in this research consisted of the SSSS interview form, the current and desirable conditions of the SSSS questionnaire, and appropriateness, possibility, and usage assessment form. All questionnaires were at a 0.91 level. The obtained data were analyzed with the use of means, frequency, percentage, and standard deviation.
The findings were as follows:
1.There were 5 elements ; 1) The recognition of individual students. 2) The student screening 3) The promotion and development of student 4) The Prevention and resolution 5) The Student transfer. The interviewing form was used for interviewing the best practice school under the SSESAO.
- The current condition of the SSSS in the COVID-19 epidemic crisis under the SSESAO was at a moderate level in all areas and the desirable condition of the SSSS in the COVID-19 epidemic crisis under the SSESAO was at higher level in all areas.
3. The overall 5 elements and 19 indicators were at the highest level on appropriateness, probability and usage of guidelines for developing the SSSS in the COVID-19 epidemic crisis under the SSESAO.
