THE GUIDELINES OF ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION FOR SCHOOLS UNDER SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

          The objectives of the research were : 1) to study the current and desirable conditions of academic administration of the school administrators in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram, 2) to prioritize the needs and necessaries to develop the academic administration for schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram, and 3) to offer the guidelines of academic administration for the school administrators in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram. For Phase 1, it was the quantitative research. The sample groups of this research were 285 government teachers in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkram, academic year 2023 with questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For Phase 2, it was the qualitative research. The main informants are five experts with experience in academic administration. The main informants are five experts with experience in academic administration. The research results showed that: 1) the overall current conditions of academic administration of the school administrators in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram were at a high level, and the overall desirable conditions were at the highest level, 2) the first 3 priorities of the needs and necessaries to develop the academic administration for schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram were (1) the development of innovative media and educational technology (2) the assessment and the transfer of academic result (3) the development of the learning process, and 3) the guidelines of academic administration for school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Samut Sakhon Samut Songkhram were comprised of : (1) in terms of the development of innovative media and educational technology, there was a plan, design, monitoring and evaluation of the use of innovative media and educational technology (2) in terms of the assessment, and transfer of learning results, there was the systematic planning and management to make measurement and assessment an effective tool to support the learning development of students (3) in terms of the development of the learning process, there were the analysis of the needs of the learners, designing appropriate learning processes and creating quality and interesting learning materials.
