LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF HISTORY ON CIVILIZATION CREATION USING LEARNING CENTER OF PRATHOMSUKSA 5 STUDENTS

Abstract

          The objectives of the present research were (1) to compare learning achievement in History subject on “Civilization” of students in Pratomsuksa 5 before and after learning the lesson through the learning center methode, and (2) to study satisfaction of students in Pratomsuksa 5 towards overall learning center methode on “Civilization”, which showed “the most satisfied” rate. The research design was a one-group experimental study. The pre-test and post-test data were collected from a sample of 40 students from Pratomsuksa 5/2 students, Semester 1, Academic Year 2022, Loei Kindergarten School. They learnt History through the learning center meyhode on “Civilization” in 6 lesson plans for 11 periods. Statistics were used in the analysis data. Arithmetic mean (), Standard deviation (SD), and T-test of one sample test. The study was revealed that (1) When the learning achievement scores of learning History through the learning center package on“Civilization” were compared, the outcome indicated that learning achievement from post-test scores were significantly higher than those in pre-test at a level of confidence of 0.5. (2) The average satisfaction towards learning History by using the learning center package on “Civilization” of 40 students in Pratomsuksa 5 was at  rate. (X̅= 4.61, S.D. = 0.61) Specifically, the participant students showed the highest rate of “the most satisfied” with the statement “I gain more knowledges that I can be more confident to express it by myself” (X̅= 4.70, S.D. = 0.64)
