Abstract
This research studied the influence of personality factors and learning styles on job satisfaction. The objectives of this research study were two folds; 1) to investigate the level of job satisfaction. 2) to examine the effective factors which predict job satisfaction. The participants were 108 college employees. The snowball sampling was utilized. The research instrument was an online inventory that was developed by a researcher. The inventory had 4 parts ware 1) Personal Factors, 2) Personality Factors, 3) Learning Style Factors, and 4) Job Satisfaction Inventory. Data analyses were utilized by percentage, average, standard deviation, correlation and the stepwise regression analysis with the statistical significance of 0.05
The results showed that 1) Average score of job satisfaction was good level. The most average score is personal growth, and second is responsibility. Both factors had average score in very good level. 2) Nine independent variables consist in five personality factors and four learning style factors. Stepwise analysis indicates five independent variables for the final model. Five independent variables consist in three personality factors such as conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism. And two learning style factors such as active experimentation, and abstract conceptualization. These factors all together were able to predict job satisfaction statistically significantly. These five independent variables were accountable for job satisfaction up to 44.34 (R2adj = .4434) The finding also showed that the most effect personality factor toward job satisfaction is conscientiousness, and the most effect learning style factor active experimentation.
