Abstract
The objectives of this research aims to 1) to study the current conditions, desirable conditions and necessary needs of the management approach to excellence. 2) To develop an administrative approach to excellence according to the quality award criteria of the office of the basic education commission of small schools affiliated to the Surin secondary education area office, the sample group consisted of 48 school administrators and 192 supervisors from 4 departments, a total of 240 people. The research utilized questionnaires as the primary tool with data analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results found that 1. The current state of management approaches for achieving excellence, according to the office of the basic education commission quality awards criteria, in small schools under the Surin secondary educational service area office is generally at a high level. When considered individually, it was found that all aspects were at the same level and the desirable condition of the management approach towards excellence. According to the quality award criteria of the office of the basic education commission of small schools affiliated to the Surin secondary education area office, the overall level is the highest. When considered individually, it was found that all aspects were at the highest level and the first 3 necessary needs were sorted in descending order: 1) Strategic planning, 2) Organizational leadership, 3) Learner focus, 2. Results of the development of management approaches to excellence according to the quality award criteria of the office of the basic education commission of small schools affiliated to the Surin secondary education area office. There are 4 methods: 1) training, 2) field trips, 3) workshops, and 4) continuing education.
