THE ACTION RESEARCH OF DEVELOPING ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITY BASE ON COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH TEACHING MODEL SUPPLEMENTED WITH EXERCISE BOOK EMPHASIS 5W1H TECHNIQUE ON READING COMPREHENSION ABILITY FOR MATHAYOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to; 1) To develop English language teaching activities using the communicative language teaching model, supplemented with exercises that emphasize 5W1H techniques. to the ability to read for comprehension For Mathayomsuksa 2 students. 2) To study the reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 2 students learning with teaching activities using the communicative language teaching model supplemented with exercises that emphasize the 5W1H technique. 3) To compare the reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who studied with teaching activities using the communicative language teaching model supplemented with exercises that emphasized 5W1H techniques with the 75 percent criterion. 4)To compare academic achievement in English subjects. of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who study with teaching activities using the language teaching model for communication supplemented with exercises that emphasize 5W1H techniques with a 75 percent criterion. 5) To compare the academic achievement in English of Mathayomsuksa 2 students who studied with teaching activities using the communicative language teaching model supplemented with exercises that focused on 5W1H techniques between before and after scores.

          The research results found that 1) The researcher created a learning plan on Free time and Entertainment. To develop the ability of reading comprehension for Mathayomsuksa 2 students by using a communicative language teaching model supplemented with exercises that emphasize 5W1H techniques. From studying related documents and research Passed inspection by the advisor. and 3 experts before applying it to the target group and using an action research model to develop a learning management plan with 3 cycles. Each cycle includes observing and collecting data and reflecting on the learning management results. To improve the learning management plan according to the communicative language teaching model that can develop the ability to read for comprehension. and develop academic achievement in English subjects. 2)Mathayomsuksa 2 students had reading comprehension ability scores from teaching and learning activities. By using the language teaching model for communication Supplemented with exercises emphasizing 5W1H techniques, the average after study was 8.22 points, or 82.20 percent. Students had an average post-study score higher than the criteria of 75 percent. 3) Mathayomsuksa 2 students are achievement scores in English from teaching and learning activities. By using the language teaching model for communication Supplemented with exercises emphasizing 5W1H techniques, the average score after studying was 22.74 points, or 75.80 percent. Students had an average score after studying higher than the criteria of 75 percent.
