DEVELOPING LEARNING MANAGEMENT ACCORDING TO HARROW'S CONCEPT TO PROMOTE BASIC TECHNICAL DRAFTING PRACTICE SKILLS FOR FIRST YEAR VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE STUDENTS

Abstract

           This research aimed to develop a learning management system based on Harrow's concept to enhance basic technical drawing skills for first-year vocational certificate students efficiently, meeting a performance criterion of 75/75. Additionally, it sought to compare the basic technical drawing skills of first-year vocational certificate students against a 75 percent proficiency benchmark. The study involved one classroom of first-year vocational certificate students specializing in electrical power, with 10 students selected using cluster random sampling. Data collection instruments included four learning management plans based on Harrow's concept to improve basic technical drawing skills for these students. Each plan spanned four hours, totaling four plans, along with a 4-item basic technical drawing skills test. Statistical analyses employed included percentages, means, standard deviations, and one-sample t-test.

           The research results indicate that the learning management plan based on Harrow's concept to enhance basic technical drawing skills for first-year vocational certificate students was effective, scoring 81.95 out of 80.83, which exceeded the set criteria of 75/75. Moreover, the first-year vocational certificate students exhibited basic technical drawing skills above the 75 percent benchmark with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
