GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPMENT WOMEN’S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN MUNICIPALITIES MUEANG WARIN CHAMRAP, WARIN CHAMRAP DISTRICT UBON RATCHATHANI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study the problems and needs of women's political participation and to find ways to develop women's political participation in Warin Chamrap Municipality, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The results of the research were as follows: 1. Condition of women's political participation in Warin Chamrap Municipality In terms of exercising voting rights, women participate because they consider voting to be their duty. In terms of talking about politics, women participate by talking about the current economy and society. In terms of participation as committee members in political activities, women have never been committee members in any political activities, and some have been community committee members. In terms of participation in political competition, women have never applied to participate in political competition. In terms of holding political positions, women have never held political positions, and some have held the position of community president. 2. Guidelines for developing women’s political participation in Warin Chamrap Municipality In terms of voting rights, organize a campaign to inform the benefits of political participation by exercising voting rights. In terms of talking about politics, build an information system to promote political knowledge and understanding, including women’s political participation. In terms of participation as committee members in political activities, government and private agencies should promote and campaign for women to participate in politics by participating in political activities together. In terms of political competition, build and adjust attitudes and correct beliefs about women running for election. In terms of holding political positions, organize a project to instill and stimulate women’s awareness of holding political positions.
