TRANSMISSION OF KNOWLEDGE ON LOW-CARBON MANAGEMENT OF KAEW KHAMIN MANGO ORCHARDS TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS IN SA KAEO PROVINCE

Abstract
This research aimed to transfer knowledge about low-carbon management of mango gardens to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Sa Kaeo province. The research design is a preliminary experiment with a single group, measuring outcomes using a pre-test and post-test of the knowledge transfer activities. The tools used in the research include a knowledge assessment test comprising four areas: (1) Greenhouse gases and the principles of carbon credits, (2) Proper fertilizer usage in agricultural areas to reduce greenhouse gases, (3) Reducing burning and producing compost or soil amendments from organic waste, and (4) Reducing fuel use in management. The test is a multiple-choice format with four options and consists of 20 questions, with an Item Objective Congruence (IOC) index ranging from 0.80 to 1.0 and a reliability of the entire test at 0.85. The sample group consists of 50 members of the Integrated Agricultural Community Enterprise at the Border, selected through convenient or volunteer sampling. The study found that the percentage of knowledge scores regarding low-carbon management of mango gardens to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Sa Kaeo province increased across all questions in the four areas for the sample group of 50 members.
