A MODEL FOR DEVELOPING SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION TOWARDS EXCELLENCE IN OPPUTUNITY EXPANSION SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION IN LOWER NORTHEAST 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) To study the current conditions and administrative approaches towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lower Northeastern 1; 2) To create a model for developing school administration towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lower Northeastern 1; and 3) To assess the feasibility and benefits of the school administration model towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lower Northeastern 1. The research findings were as follows: 1. The current conditions and administrative approaches towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools that implemented best practices were aligned with the administrative framework of opportunity expansion schools and covered six areas of administration towards excellence: 1) Leadership, 2) Strategic Planning, 3) Personnel Management, 4) Operations and Administration, 5) Performance Measurement and Evaluation, and 6) Results. 2. The school administration model towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lower Northeastern 1 consists of five parts: 1) Principles and Rationale, 2) Objectives, 3) Core Components, which are divided into three sections: (1) Development issues in school administration towards excellence, (2) Processes/Methods for developing school administration towards excellence, and (3) Projects for administrating schools towards excellence; 4) Implementation of the model; and 5) Conditions for success. Experts evaluated the model's appropriateness, with the overall average rating being at the highest level. 3. The feasibility and benefits assessment of the administration model towards excellence in opportunity expansion schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Lower Northeastern 1 found that the overall average rating for both feasibility and benefits was at the highest level
