SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT AFFECTING THE ROLE OF BASIC COMMITTEE EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL UNDER THE SAMUTSAKORN PRIMARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract
This research aimed to study (1) the level of school-based management in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office, (2) the level of roles and responsibilities of the Basic Education Committee members in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office, and (3) the impact of school-based management on the roles and responsibilities of the Basic Education Committee members in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office. The sample group used in the research consisted of 291 Basic Education Committee members in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office, determined using Taro Yamane's formula with stratified proportional sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research results were as follows: (1) The overall level of school-based management in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office was at the highest level, with the highest average being in the principle of accountability, followed by the principle of decentralization, and the lowest average in the principle of self-management. (2) The overall level of roles and responsibilities of the Basic Education Committee members in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office was at the highest level, with the highest average being in policy and development planning, followed by approval of the annual action plan, and the lowest average in appointing advisors and/or subcommittees to carry out operations according to regulations. (3) School-based management significantly impacted the roles and responsibilities of the Basic Education Committee members in the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Services Area Office, with a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.921 at a statistical significance level of 0.01.
