THE ROLE OF INTERNAL SUPERVISION OF EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATORS OF INSTITUTE OF VOCATIONNAL EDUCATION SOUTHERN REGION 3 IN SONGKHLA

Abstract

The main objectives of this research were twofold; 1) to examine the role of internal supervision performed by educational administrators under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region Three in Songkhla Province, and 2) to compare teachers' perspectives on the role of internal supervision performed by educational administrators, as classified by their education levels, work experiences, and qualifications. In the present study, the sample of participants were 144 teachers from Hat Yai Technical College and Songkhla Vocational College. Both colleges under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region Three in Songkhla Province were chosen by stratified random sampling while the teachers from each college selected through a simple random lottery approach. The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire with an overall reliability coefficient of 0.96. The statistical methods operated for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The key research findings reveal that: 1) The teachers perceived the role of internal supervision by educational administrators under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region Three in Songkhla Province at a high level, both overall and across each specific aspect. 2) The overall opinions of teachers on the role of internal supervision by educational administrators under the Institute of Vocational Education Southern Region Three in Songkhla Province showed no significant differences underlying upon education levels, work experiences, and qualifications.
