SCHOOLS’ DUAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION MANAGEMENT UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE, PATHUM THANI

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to 1) Examine the present and appropriate environment of schools’ dual vocational education management under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Pathum Thani. 2) Identify the essential needs in schools’ dual vocational education management. 3) Explore strategies for improving schools’ dual vocational education management.  The study collected data from 248 school administrators and teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Pathum Thani. Participants were selected using stratified random sampling, with school size as the classification criterion. The research instruments included a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.937 and qualitative data gathered through in-depth interviews with five experts. Data analysis involved frequency, percentage, mean (𝑥̅), standard deviation (S.D.), and Priority Needs Index (PNA) analysis. The findings showed that 1) The present environment of those schools’ dual vocational education management in both overall and in individual aspects were at a high level. 2) The appropriate environment for the schools’ dual vocational education management were  at the highest level. 3) The top three most essential needs for improving the schools’ dual vocational education management, from the most  to the least important, were academic administration, personnel management, and budget administration. 4) The schools’ dual vocational education management strategies, from the most to the least essential were, academic administration, personnel management, budget administration, and general administration.
