Abstract
This quantitative research aimed to (1) examine the level of artificial intelligence (AI) technology acceptance among personnel of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Department of Education, (2) analyze personal factors influencing AI acceptance, and (3) investigate the effects of AI acceptance on employees’ work performance. The sample consisted of 184 civil servants selected using Yamane’s formula. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The findings revealed that the overall level of AI acceptance was high, particularly in perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Work performance, including speed, quality, accuracy, and workload reduction, was also reported at a high level. AI acceptance demonstrated a moderate positive correlation with work performance (r = .64, p < .001), indicating that higher acceptance of AI contributes to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in public sector personnel’s work performance.
