THE INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE IN EDUCATION OF PRIVATE SCHOOL UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PRIVATE EDUCATION COMMISSION IN PHATTHALUNG PROVINCE

Abstract

          This study was aimed to 1) study the condition of Quality Assurance in Education of Private School under the Office of Private Education Commission in Phatthalung Province, 2) compare the condition of Quality Assurance in Education of Private School under the Office of Private Education Commission in Phatthalung Province; classified by education level, work experience, and the size of the school, and 3) gather recommendations of Quality Assurance In Education of School under Private School in Phatthalung Province. Sample groups were the 234 teachers in Private School under the Office of the Private Education Commission, Phatthalung Province, in Academic Year 2022. They were derived by stratified random sampling according to the size of the school. After that, Simple Random Sampling was done by drawing lots or lottery. The tools used in this study was a questionnaire with a Reliability value of a whole copy was 0.978. Statistics used were frequency, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test.

            The results were found that: 1) The condition of Quality Assurance Operations in Private Schools under the Office of the Private Education Commission, Phatthalung Province; in overall aspect, was at the highest level. When considering in each aspect, it was found that they both were at the highest level and a high level. 2) Teachers under the Office of the Private Education Commission, Phatthalung Province; with different education level, work experience, and size of school, had their opinions on the Quality Assurance Operations in Private Schools with no difference. In overall and each aspect, they  both had a statistically significant difference at the .001 level. 3) Recommendations of Quality Assurance Operations in Private Schools under the Office of the Private Education Commission, Phatthalung Province, had 7 approaches in total: 1) Setting the educational standards of schools: there should be a manual for setting educational standards and indicators. 2) Preparation of education management development plans of schools: plans should be prepared according to the fiscal year and divided into short-term and long-term plans. 3) Operation of educational management development plans of schools: an order should be made for personnel in the planning department to jointly take responsibility and prepare an annual development plan to comply with the operational calendar. 4) Assessment and examination of educational quality of schools. 5) The follow-up of educational quality assessment results of schools: school administrators and department heads should be assigned to assess the internal quality of educational institutions according to the calendar set out in the plan. 6) Reporting on the annual Quality Assurance of schools: an annual internal Quality Assurance report should be prepared using the format specified by the schools. 7) The use of Quality Assurance results for schools: it should be prepared in the form of a book to be used as a guideline for improving the quality of education in the following year, and further disseminate to the public.
