Participatory management model for managing special education centers in the Northeast.

This research article aims to: 1) Study the current and desired states of participatory management, 2) develop and validate the appropriateness of a participatory management model, and 3) evaluate the appropriateness, feasibility, and benefits of the participatory management model. This research employed a mixed-methods approach. The statistical tools used for data analysis included content validity, mean (x̅ ), and standard deviation (S.D).
The research found that:
- The current state, desired state, and needs for participatory management in the administration of special education centers in the Northeastern region indicated that the current state of participatory management in these centers is at a high level overall. The desired state of participatory management in the special education centers in the Northeastern region is at the highest level overall. The priority of needs for participatory management in these centers, ranked from highest to lowest, includes participation in decision-making, participation in benefit-sharing, participation in operations, and participation in evaluation.
- The participatory management model for the administration of special education centers in the Northeastern region, based on the evaluation of appropriateness and benefits, was found to be of the highest quality overall.
