Abstract
The article describes the proper violin bow hold to produce good tone quality. Violin bow has developed from a hunting bow shape of the early time to a more straight shape of today. The most popular methods of hold are the Russian, German, and the Franco Belgian holds. The article also emphasizes on hand/finger muscle relaxation, which is the key to a good sound production.
