This article examines how academic information about the dynamics of jazz in Thai culture led to controversies by represented the historical conditions that have been significant but not addressed. The important questions through Assistant Professor Dr. Kamontham Kuabutr’s research article “Jazz in Thailand: Historical Context and Development” published in Music and Performing Arts, an academic journal of Faculty of Music and Performing Arts Burapha University, Thailand The arguments in this article concerning controversial issues including of 1)The spread, acceptance, and integration of Jazz music in Thai culture; and 2) The development and movement phases were described in the research article, and simultaneously revealed the gaps in the dimensions of music and development factor.
