An action on Teaching repair the Reading and Writing do not follow the spelling by cooperation learning of Parent in Pratom Suksa 3 students of Ban Nong Sanom School under the jurisdiction of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area office 5

Abstract

The research was aimed at studying the results of a remedial teaching with a cooperation of the parents and comparing a learning achievement of a remedial teaching with a cooperation of the parents on reading and spelling for Prathom Suksa three level (grade 3) before and after a remedial teaching.

The samples of the study were 23 Prathom Suksa three students of Ban Nongsanom School under Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 5, derived by a specific random sampling. The research instruments consisted of four handbooks for a remedial teaching with a cooperation of the parents and the learning achievement test of 40 items.  The difficulty value of the instruments ranged from .54-.89; discrimination value ranged from .45-.89 and confidence value was equivalent to .8045. Statistics used were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.

The research findings were as follows:

The results of a remedial teaching could be described as follows.  1) The students’ parents organized the learning activities based on the handbook; 2) the students had a chance to  practice themselves with the help of the parents; 3) the parents gave attention and care for their children to perform well regarding reading and writing.

1. A remedial teaching with the cooperation of the parents on the reading and writing had an efficiency of 91.15/83.26 which was higher than the set standard of 80/80.
2. The results of a remedial teaching with the cooperation of the parents on the reading and writing for Prathom Suksa three level were higher with a statistical significance of .01
