A Development of a Computer Assisted Instruction on a Linear Equation System and Matrix for Mattayom Suksa Four Students

Abstract

The research aimed to develop Computer Assisted Instruction on a linear equation system and matrix to a standard efficiency criterion of 80/80, to compare an achievement of the students before and after learning a Computer Assisted Instruction and study a retention of learning based on a Computer Assisted Instruction. The samples used in the research were 30 Mattayom Suksa four students of Khongchiemwitayakom school, derived by a cluster random sampling. The research instruments were a Computer Assisted Instruction evaluated by experts and an achievement test developed by the research with a difficulty value ranging from 0.45 - 0.77, a  discrimination value ranging from 0.27 - 0.64, and a confidence value equivalent to 0.84. Statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and t-test

The research findings were as follows:

1. A Computer Assisted Instruction on a linear equation system and matrix for Mattayom Suksa four students had an efficiency of 80.67/11.
2. An achievement of the students who learned through a Computer Assisted Instruction was higher than before with a statistical significance of .05
3. After two weeks, a learning retention of the students who leaned by a computer-assisted instruction on a linear equation system and matrix for Mattayom Suksa four was not statistically different at .05.
