GUIDELINES TO SELF-DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT TEACHERS’ FACULTY OF EDUCATION AT THAILAND NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY CENTRAL CAMPUS

The purposes of this research are to: 1. examine the problems of teacher students at the faculty of Education, Thailand National Sports University, Central Campus and 2. propose a professional self-development program for teacher students at the faculty of Education, Thailand National Sports University, Central Campus. The population of the research includes students in the 1,701 students of Year 1 - Year 5, academic year 2021. The research sample consists of 5 senior experts and 318 students of fifth-year students in academic year 2021 who is being a teacher student in operational internship. They were selected by using purposive sampling. The instrument used in the research was a questionnaire with a 5 levels ratting scale and an IOC value of 0.60-1.00. The reliability value was 0.89. and an interview form for the development of teaching students. Research has been analyzed by using frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation and analyze self -development guidelines of teacher students with Content Analysis.
The results indicated that
1. The overall performance issues of teaching professionals were high (M = 4.14, S.D. = 0.19). Student teachers had the most difficulty with the following working condition: measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes, as well as research for problem-solving and learner development were at the highest level (M = 4.78, S.D. = 0.22).
2. A guideline for teaching professional student growth at faculty of Education, Thailand National Sports University Central Campus consists of the following four steps: Step 1: Analyze personal development needs, Step 2 Determine self-development goals, Step 3 Identify learning resources for personal development, and Step 4: Evaluation of personal development.
